Lefferts Pl between St James & Grand in Clinton Hill (Greene: apartment, crime)

Hi all! Still apartment hunting and I always ask on here when I don't know an area. So I am interested in an apartment in Clinton Hill on Lefferts Place, between St James and Grand. How is that area (especially for a short white girl) crime wise and also parking wise (and also will my car get broken into there?) I like the area because it's near the park and close to Ft Greene, but I don't know what there is to do right in that area. Thanks for your opinions!
