Hah, I'm short too...but secretly, all the tall women wish they were short like us! Shorties are hot!

I know. I am sure she probibly had a chubby friend or 10 that were denied which in turn made her friends not want to go in with out her which inturn tunened into "no one getting in".

I saw it happen once. Like my experience. Not only was I looking a little "non-modely" I WAY under dressed to be in tenjune. I realize this now. The second time I went to Tenjune (5 inch heels to make me 5'10ish, and cocktail dress in toe) I got in no one looked twice at me. However there was a bigger girl in the group and she couldn't get in and becasue of that her 3 friends didnt come in either. I even heard the promoters say "hide her in the back" in order to help her get in. She didnt and her friends went with her.

And I have discovered yes, men like shorter girls. However there are a TON of REALLY short girls here which sometimes make me feel tall

I too don't think it was a racial issue - I'm black FWIW and work/hang out in Soho. Weight, ones sense of style, (and sorry to say it) signs of discretionary income are what counts when it comes to these clubs. A group of 50 white male "bridge and tunnel" types can't get into the clubs down here either. This was a group of book fans heading out for a rare night on the town. I'm sure they weren't fashionable enough to get in.

I can't be bothered with this sort of thing anymore, primping and preening so I can pay for $20 cocktails... but it's NYC, it goes with the territory.

I read in a article where the clubs lawyer claims the goal of the lawsuit is possibly extortion, because he claims that the plaintiff sent a text message to the club owner saying she will drop the suit if he pays her a xxx sum of money. If this proves to be true, it continues to prove my point that majority of civil suits are all about money and nothing else.

Another thing about this article that makes sense is it never says she RENTED OUT the venue. She was just throwing her party there. When you throw a private event usually you have control of the doorman, and its usually someone hired by you. it sounds as if she was just thowing her party on a normal night were there would be other people in attendence.

While her case sounds like a hoax, unfortunately this does happen everywhere.
