We will be visiting NYC in November through January of this year. Because of the lenght of time we have been looking into apartment renting. One apartment sounds interesting but since not from there not sure of location. The address is 325 West 58th Street NYC 10019. Anyone familiar with the area your imput would be appreciated.
That's across the street from the Time Warner Building. It's a nice area, if a bit high-rise and generic. Very busy at all hours of the day. It would be great to be so close to Central Park. Lots of train connections as well. You could do much worse.
It's very corporate. Certainly not a romantic cobblestone street in the Village. It really depends on what you want.
Thank you that helps!! We are just looking for a home base and to be able to get aound easily, close to restaurants, etc. We are a little apprehensive to send money for booking without knowing the area so I appreciate all info!!! Any other location information as to where to stay would be appreciated too!!!!
My ex lived on that block. Its safe, or at least i felt safe going up there are all hours of the night. There are some nice places to eat. Nice near the park. Perfect access to the subway. Lots of shopping near there too. Most likely a higher building. And yes its not very brownstone-exposed-brick-trendy if that is what you are looking for

How much are they asking you to send?
Do they want a money order or Western Union?
Does the deal seem too good to be true?
There are a lot of scams going around, please be careful.
They want 67 a night and require a deposit of 1500...now that is basd on the amount of time we are staying which will be about 2 1/2 months! It a 1 bedroom apt on the 8th floor of the bldg!
various vacation rentals (like on vrbo etc..) usually ask for some deposit but never pay something like that upfront (in full that is, not the deposit).
