Hi there
We are currently renting a vacation / 2nd home in sullivan county but our kids, 8 and 5 are at school in brooklyn.
we are keen to make a move full time to upstate new york and we like a lot of different areas, Love sullivan, big fans of stone ridge and high falls, but the school thing its really holding us back from committing. Sullivan seems to have little to offer as far as good schools go. Stone Ridge seems to have a fantastic elementary but I hear very mixed reports about rondout valley middle & high school.
Further googling has led me to dutchess, it would be amazing if someone could tell me a bit about the different school districts there. Houses we are looking at are in the following districts: millbrook, webutuck, red hook, hyde park & arlington.
Alternatively if anyone can tell me good things about rondout high school?
Thanks in advance

I would highly recommend the Arlington School District. I went to Poughkeepsie High School and I did well for myself by going to university in NYC and now living in NYC with a good corporate job however I know for sure that the Arlington School District has way more programs for their students. After Arlington I would vote for Hyde Park.
