I always find this an odd question. If you're muslim you don't go around asking how muslim friendly certain neighborhoods are. This would only matter if you're planning to make out publicly with some other dude and expect people to go "awww how adorable" in which case San Fran and the meatpacking district of NYC are safe bets.
Beacon seems to be a very gay-friendly town. I've lived here for over two years (NYC transplant) and have a number of friends in town who are in gay or lesbian relationships and have never heard of any issues arising. There seems to be a sizable gay community here for a smallish town and I have seen plenty of gay and lesbian couples living their lives —*and yes, previous poster, that includes making out sometimes — without anyone giving it a second thought.
