Paterson’s wife, 52, quietly filed for divorce from her husband last week — one day after Spitzer, his predecessor as governor, and his long-suffering wife Silda filed for divorce, records show.
If she quietly filed divorce papers, how did he find out about it?
If she quietly filed divorce papers, how did he find out about it?
One assumes the "quietly" refers to the fact Mrs. Paterson just got on with the thing rather than putting it out on Twitter, and or otherwise making a media event out of the thing.
Divorce like marriage are public record, so word would have gotten out anyway. Divorce case records *can* be sealed but the fact of filing still remains public.
While the Spitzers came as some what of a surprise, since Mrs. Spitzer seemed to but up with quite a lot, I mean there isn't much lower one can go in a marriage than being a first lady of NYS and having you and your children's names dragged though the mud. The Patersons are another matter; they pretty much admitted from the get go theirs was an "open marriage".
So now NYS has had three losers in the marital market as governor. Cuomo, Paterson, and Spitzer. But then come to think of it Hugh Carey was no prize in that area, nor was Nelson Rockfeller.
Considering neither Paterson nor Spitzer could keep their peckers in their pants, is that surprising?
