Hi, I am currently in the process of applying for lottery apartments and am wondering if somebody could answer a question that I have. When filling out the applications, it states that one has to write down the total rent of the apartment and then the amount you yourself pay. The only thing is that, yes I do live with room-mates, but they do not pay any rent. They are related to the landlord and I am not. Should I just put down $0 for the total rent and then my share in the appropriate field. Or should I approximate what the total rent theoretically would be? Would writing down $0 hurt my chances of getting an interview, if my application gets drawn? Would that not look like as if I already have a great deal (low rent, all by myself) and therefore do not need affordable housing or does that really not matter? Thanks again.
