Thanks, ckh! How do the Homer schools compare to Cortland and other districts in Cortland County? I've heard good things about them, but I don't know just how good they are. No kids currently, but planning for the future. I took a drive through Homer and I did like what I saw. Looks like a very quaint, peaceful village. I agree it's fairly similar to North Syracuse, but much smaller and less crowded.
I believe that it is a solid SD. It essentially covers the northern half of Cortland County, give or take and small, nearby portions of Onondaga and Cayuga counties.
Which SD is better of the two? Cortland CSD or Homer SD?
I'd probably say Homer, but not to say that Cortland is a bad SD though. Homer is a little bit smaller in terms of enrollment and may have 1 school for each level(not sure if the Truxton school is still open). Homer SD info: Homer Central School District
