Hello, I'm considering purchasing a large parcel of land in the Pine Bush, NY area for my retirement home. I'm choosing this area because it is somewhat central between where my two daughters live. I hope to be able to build a small cabin or tiny house to live in with my cats. How friendly are the people there? Is the area clean and safe? Is it improving and undergoing gentrification or is it depressed and falling apart? Does the town or county hassle people with zoning ordinances and regulations or do they leave folks alone for the most part? Are there any other issues or concerns in the area that I should be aware of? Thank you.
