In a related topic, there is (among all the FB sites), a group covering upstate NY rural properties for sale/or wanted. One "wanted" post was put up by someone looking for property in Tioga county. I was surprised at more than a few responses from individuals , who had relocated to Owego and surrounding areas. One was a mandatory reloc for Lockheed Martin..the others from urban areas looking for a new home ..rural/small town ..within 3-4 hours from the NYC/ L.I./ Philly area.
