Pathetic isn't it? The tolls on the NY State Thruway were originally sold to the public as a means of paying for the thruway and would be phased out. That was when, sometime in the 1950s? I left NYS nearly 30 years ago. Guess what? Most states are managed competently enough and are not so greedy as to need to throw another tax to use the roads their fuel taxes and income taxes have already long-since paid for.

Agree...............and with the Government trillion dollar infrastructure handout you
think tolls will go down to encourage travel to help pay for the expense?

Ironically, many of the states that people move to have also incorporated tolls on select highways as well. Some have removed them, but some have added them recently too.

Sorry for the late reply on the outcome. I called the EZ-Pass 800 number on that Monday and a very nice agent answered the phone immediately. Together we reset the account. Everything is now in order. My device arrived in 2 days. All is well. Thanks everyone in this great community for your replies !!!
