Elmira and Horseheads got some cheaper apartments but Corning prices are shocking me they are quite a bit higher. Corning is where I would like to settle as that is where the buses are. But I am having an issue finding affordable apartments in Corning. I can’t figure out how some of these small rural areas in upstate New York charge so much money. Is it to cover the Expenses of the welfare recipients throughout the state of New York? I’m not sure I’m just asking.
No, it is likely due to some people that came from bigger cities coming to smaller cities and in turn, the higher demand is increasing prices.
Also, do you not want to live in a community with a VA facility like Canandaigua or Batavia, which are also smaller cities and would mean a shorter drive?
