RPI in Troy, also down the Thruway is involved as well. It does say something that Cornell is leading it though, among institutions such as MIT and Northwestern.

Wolf Rd in Colonie is one long strip of stores and eateries. First exit off the Northway if you get on from Exit 24.

I certainly agree that Exit 24, if you take the feed to Route 20, is virtually a rest stop. Still, it involves about a 1.5 mile detour from the Thruway, and getting back on can be confusing.
