If there's one thing consistent about Kathy Hochel, it's her spending.
What's inconsistent is what her goals are? In this article she says she wants to build 800,000 new housing units in a state that is losing population. At the same time, she has goal to make NYS zero emissions.
What is it? There will be few jobs available in our zero emissions state, other than the jobs created for the switchover. Income disparity will skyrocket.
Its what happens when you put incredibly dumb politicians in charge of complex matters.
Cory Booker wants to ban gas stoves in the US. He's from Newark. I'm in Newark weekly. Let me tell you, gas stoves are the absolute LEAST of that city's problems. Trash pickup that doesn't happen for weeks, rats at apartment buildings, shootings, sewer mains that aren't fixed so you see feces floating down the street, I've seen it all. Nothing ever gets better.
But the complex problems are too complicated to fix. It takes work and money, neither of which they want to do or give out. The easier solution is to ban gas cars and stoves and fix a non-existent problem and be able to virtue signal about it. Clearly there is an agenda for this zero emission push underway. And I don't think its a benevolent one.

Additionally, it takes time. I think that's why people like government initiatives as it is "instant" gratification. Problem is, it then throws something else off kilter. the only way to ever really solve these problems is to have no new laws and spending. Just let it be, and the free market will correct things, but that will take years. Many years.
