Rather than move, you should look into Italian societies where you like.

For over fourty years, The Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn, a non-profit 501c3 organization, has been a unifying force in the many diverse communities of New York.

FIAO offers a range of free programs and services to assist all residents in finding the resources they need to truly experience the benefits offered by our society and celebrate one’s own heritage.

Since 1920, the Italian Welfare League has been ministering to the needs of Italian New Yorkers and their families. Today, we continue to contribute richly to the Italian American communities of New York and the greater metropolitan area. Follow our history below and see what we’re up to today.

The Giglio Society of East Harlem is a devoted group of individuals who have dedicated their lives to honor Sant’ Antonio. Their love and devotion is on display each year during the Annual Italian Festival held in East Harlem, New York. They honor their Patron saint in very much the same fashion as their ancestry did and still do annually today in Brusciano by building a Giglio and dancing it in the streets of Manhattan, N.Y.

https://www.wiccny.org - its a short train ride to Tuckahoe. Look on their calendar of events & plan a Saturday up there. I've taken cooking & language courses there - many Italians from Italy!

Get involved in these groups (and google Italian Societies for many other groups). Ask them where you can move with a strong Italian community. But even before you move, get involved!!!

Staten Island, Tuckahoe, Eastchester, Elmsford - all have lots of Italians! You may not have to go to far to find what you what.

^That is a good idea and if Upstate is still in play, here are some Sons and Daughters of Italy chapters in the state: https://osdia.org/lodge/grand-lodge-of-new-york/

There are other groups, but this can give an idea in terms of presence.
