What kind of work do you do? There are plenty of medical jobs, engineering, and some seasonal touristy ones in restaurants, etc. It is considerably more difficult to find a job in upstate NY than in many places around the country. However, living costs are relatively low.

Default By the way.......

It is pretty hard to be "outnumbered" in Upstate NY and in the US for the most part.

All of the places you noted are nice and range in terms of suburbs. Baldwinsville is more rural, Webster is a second or third ring suburb and Endicott has a some what blue collar feel to it.

Also, a city you might like is Jamestown. It is a small city that has quite a few people of Swedish descent there.

Great if you like farms and the smell of cow dung, otherwise not much that's overly exciting there

Apparently Jdawg isn't an outdoorsman.

Hiking, sailing, kayaking, fishing, skiing (snow & water), camping, hunting, golf, polo. Wine trails, balsam forests, waterfalls, lakes and rivers everywhere. Real maple syrup.

You can go to legit urban centers in Upstate NY too. It isn't all about farms and the rural life up here.

Before you do anything you need to get your documentation in order. A mere tourist visa will not suffice. You need to get the proper visa to be here and work legally.

Yes I know but doesnt that come within a job? I was reading around in Finland-America website and Finnish citizens dont need a visa for 90days. "Visa Waiver Pilot Program".

Tho I strongly believe if my intention is to live & work in US I need a visa. So much to think about, this is hard dunno where to start doing it.

First I have to look for a job, apartment, create bank account and thats it on the US side I guess. But before it the PAPERWORK comes in
