All the other scenic states have one LOL, so I figured this forum should have one too.

Taughannock Falls (this is the weak version. This is at its weakest flow, this thing is usually pretty robust, but I havent taken any pictures since this was taken at the end of summer 2007)
I labeled this as upstate NY , because I assume the NYC board, can start their own if they really want one. Any way to sticky this like the other photo threads in the other boards? Please feel free to post your pics people.
Letchworth State Park (1 hour southwest of Rochester)
Letchworth is really a tremendous state park... 17 miles long... you really need a couple days to see it all. It has the feel of a mini-national park in some ways. Very fancy and well maintained.
I wonder if people planning to move to Upstate NY realize that New York State has one of the best park systems in the world! I've lived here all my life and I haven't even scratched the surface of the beautiful places to see and camp at...
I know what you mean, I've been here a year, and have been hiking and exploring pretty much all year round (even in winter), and I haven't even BEGUN to see it all. There'll probably still be things left unseen when I die. I don't doubt it one bit. Just stunningly beautiful places too. Can't beat it. If you love the outdoors, upstate NY is a sure thing.
Thanks for those photos, it's nice to see places further north.
And as for the covered bridge, it's on Covered bridge Road in Newfield. It intersects two streets that run through the center of Newfield: Bank Street, and Main Street. It's right next to the Covered Bridge Market.
