You must have really hated the earlier versions of the Scion XB or later versions for that matter.

This is the first car I've bought since a person ran a red light and crashed into me over 2 years ago. In the process my car was destroyed & my back was seriously hurt. I've only started driving again a while ago. I found I could drive my sisters jeep and had decided to try find a good used one. Then the Cube caught my eye & when I sat in it, my back didn't hurt. That's all it took, along with its having such wide windows, I just felt/feel safer.

I enjoyed the drive home (14 miles) & again, my back tolerated it. But when my sister saw it she said it was the ugliest car she'd eve seen. Since then there have been comments like that from others and a few admirers as well. I was curious as to how others felt. And no, I don't care what others think - they're not the ones that have to live with my back, just curious.
You mean wide window, lol.

It's ugly, it has no straight lines at all plus it ranks as one of the 50 most ugly cars ever built !!!!

I really love the Cube and would still consider buying a used one since they are halting production.

I think the Cube appeals to me due to the utilitarian design of the vehicle. You see this as the norm in the many designs of Nissans, Honda's and Toyota's that never make it over here that are on every street and road in Japan. When I am over in Tokyo I see designs of vehicles like the Cube EVERYWHERE.

Um, you just described every SUV made, except at least the Cube gets better fuel economy. Lets face it, if they could show the Cube blowing through a snow drift and people camping like they do with all the dumb SUVs out there, it would be a hit just like the other countless boxes on wheels.

Its a funny looking thing that people just aren't used to yet. I think that it looks like it would feel like a cozy little nest inside, but I haven't had the chance to see the inside of one.

Why do people not like this car? Does anyone have an opinion?
I was just thinking about this the other day. It's not just that the car is so damn ugly, but it's not streamlined; it's a box on four wheels. But that back window annoys me the most.

I honestly don't know why, though.

Vehicles are an extension of our personalities. Most people buy based on emotion, not logic. That being said, you seem to have done perfectly well finding a vehicle you like that also meets specific needs for comfort and visibility. Enjoy the car.

Glad to see you are back in the drivers seat after a traumatic incident and enjoying the ride.

Studies have found that facial beauty is in relation to the symmetry and ratio of the face. Perhaps this is why so many find the Cube to be ugly. The car isn't symmetrical with its design and it throws some people off.
