Hello,

I plan to purchase a 'newer' coupe (2016 - 2018).

I was looking at the Infiniti Q60...until Ghosn.

Is it still okay?

I worry about their doors closing, future company issues, etc.

Also, I was looking at maybe Audi (?).

Thanks for your help, BP

The Q60 is a beautiful vehicle, and Ghosen was great for the company just bad for his taxes. lol So him getting arrested, and fired will not diminish the quality of the vehicle. The new Audi s5 is beautiful, I would get a 2015 Audi S5 even though the Infiniti does look better.

It’s not like Nissan stopped making quality cars because the CEO. got in hot water.

Ghosn probably saved Nissan but he was actually bad for the quality of their cars due to cost cutting everywhere and accountants instead of engineers having all the power. It's less evident in the Infiniti line but if you look at current Nissan lineup - it's everywhere, cost cutting first, everything else second. It's laughable that Maxima is the "flagship" sedan with CVT, front wheel drive and antique engine from the early 2000s. But you can get a very nice rear wheel drive 7AT sedan with a newer engine from Infiniti for not much more $. I've owned 2 Infiniti coupes and didn't get the 3rd one (Q60) because of no manual option but if you are ok with 7AT, then Q60 is a really great car, definitely on par if not better than a similarly priced Audi.
