I'm looking at buying a 2016 NV200 with 95k miles on it. The CVT was replaced by Nissan dealer last year. Does anyone know if the replacement would be improved, or the same design that failed originally?
Generally the newer ones, even the 2016 original, are good provided the owner does ATF drain and refill at least every 30K miles. We have a Rogue Sport with the same transmission. Curious to see what other info is out there though.
It's just another remanufactured CVT or the same unit. Any newer designs will be made for newer model years, no car maker has released updated parts for older cars. Makes no sense to keep older cars on the road.
