Will guys not do that? Is that just not normal?
I understand they might go in groups but not with another guy. Is that too close to being gay for them?
My hubby goes with a guy friend now and then. they see the movies that I don't want to see - you know, the war movies, ect. I asked if they sit with an empty seat between them You'll see guys doing that!
Odd question. I would never assume that 2 men at the movies are gay. Sounds rather homophobic to me. And if someone assumes that they are gay, and they aren't, so what? If women can go to movies with other women, men should too without having to worry about being labeled. I suppose the seat in between them may prevent that.

i do it. i'm not gay.
why is it when 2 guys become friends all the girls start snickering and saying stuff like so whats up are you doin some sort of bonding or something???
i mean if 2 guys like each other then they are gay, when a guy pets a cat he's into beastialilty? when a guy smiles at a kid he's a pedaphile?
we need to lighten up on guys a bit no? i wana know when did all this start?
i mean all this stuff goes way past prior acceptable norms.
tell me what is "proper behavior" for a guy.
ok its not john wayne, its no longer apologetic white guy

As a whole, it seems like some guys are in fact reticent to go out with just one guy friend, and are more comfortable in groups. It depends on the guy. I go to the movies with my guy friends, even if it's just one of them. In fact, I just did so tonight.
I've also seen two guys more often than not who go to a movie theatre who will leave a seat in between them. I'm not sure if that's for homophobic reasons or for comfort reasons. For example, I'm not homophobic in the slightest and couldn't care less if people think I'm gay, but if we're in a theatre with a lot of empty seats, I'll leave a seat in between just because it gives me more room to sprawl out my legs and arms.

LOL. That's funny, and it actually is sort of true.

Ill go with my buddies. Hell, My best friend and I tell eachother 'love'. Not real love, just the friendship love.
Guys go to the movies all the time with a male friend. But it's usually the type of movie that women don't want to see. You know, some bloody hacker movie or something similar. Frequently what many men will do though is not sit directly next to their friend. Quite often they will sit down with a single seat inbetween them.
