You know, the one who airs out all their dirty laundry and personal drama for the world to see, the overly political or religious one, etc. No real names please.
For me, it's a friend who posts right-wing political propaganda nonstop. And her views are as extreme as you can get, such as that guns are more important than children and that God favors the poor and opposes the rich. I won't divulge my personal political views for fear of starting a flame war, but either way, having my news feed turned into a FreeRepublic thread is annoying as hell.

Yeah the "persecuted" Christians in America cries do get tiring. She is entitled to her opinion though.
I had a friend like that on Facebook. I had known her many years ago and we reconnected through Facebook. BIG mistake on my part! LOL!
She will post non-stop from about 7am until midnight: Christian propoganda; insane right-wing nonsense; how proud she is to be a "redneck" (stupid); and all her relationship issues with the same lowlife she's been with for a few years who uses her, dumps her, screws around, comes crawling back and of course, she takes him back.
I got so sick of it that I finally deleted her. I had a feeling when I reconnected with her that I shouldn't have and I was right!
I have to edit my home page daily. Most of my relatives are Evangelicals who are constantly posting Bible verses, references to God and Jesus and typical conservative Christian buzz words and phrases. I love them dearly, so I allow most of their posts on my page even though I am not religious and it can get to be tiresome to be preached to.
On the other hand, some of my Facebook friends post political screeds. I delete any that are of a belligerent, hateful or in-your-face nature. I don't care whether it's left or right, I don't want my page to look like a political shouting match, and I keep my own religious and political views to myself. However if a political post is presented rationally without name-calling, particularly if it's witty or amusing, I'll let it stand.
On the opposite end of the spectrum I have my eternally angry super lefty protest addicted friend, which is saying something since many of my friends are politically active yet she stands out. She is literally always seething mad about something and types long diatribes over it demanding we all do something about the injustice of the day. I had to limit her posts too.
Two ways to stop all that nonsense, first is to unfriend them and second is to deactivate your facebook account. If neither choice is acceptable to you then you keep seeing all the crap you don't want to see but you should also quit complaining about "being forced" to see it because you are not being forced, you are choosing not to do something to end it.

Thought for a second that it might be the same friend I have until you mentioned the lowlife she's been with forever. The friend I'm talking about actually made up a fake Facebook boyfriend in order to seem more desirable to guys.
I had a friend from middle school add me once. Since I knew him, he went to a Christian boot camp and became complete and total Jesus Camp material. He even invited me to join a FB group called "Kent Hovindt is my hero", which he most certainly is NOT.
