First off, I want to say that I know that I'm not the smartest, fastest, most quick-witted person on earth. But I'll be honest. As I do my daily routines, errands, work, etc., I see how dumb a lot of people are. Either people just don't care, are dumb, or ti's a combo of both. Now I never voice my opinions out loud to people.

Does anyone see that with people too?

I see that, but I rarely let it get to me.

Just not worth my time and energy!

Yea... People who drive dangerously with kids in the car. People who can't count change. Bigots. etc. etc. etc. That's life.

Every day at work from 8-4:30 five days a week. Working with people and their bank accounts for years will turn you misthranopic.

I really keep my commitments and I am always on time. If I have to be late or cannot keep a commitment, I immediately contact the other person. So, yes, people often frustrate me because they don't do the same.

Working with people PERIOD will make you misanthropic.

Not to say that everyone is frustrating to deal with, but there are sure enough of them. People say "You're so patient!" They have noooo idea. When people are nice to me and treat me with a modicum of respect, I am a lot more understanding. There is a sizable minority of people out there, however, that feel that anyone who works with the public, in any capacity, is lower than the sh*t on their shoe, and treat them accordingly. Not only do we have to get them what they want at the lowest price, we have to be psychic as well. Some of these people must truly believe that they are singlehandedly keeping any particular company in business. These people don't want to give the first shred of cooperation in having you help them because "the computer should have all of that information". And heaven forbid you ask someone to repeat something because they sound like their mouth is full of marbles, or they're calling from the ocean floor. Whew, that felt better.

So the short answer is, "Yes, people frustrate me, quite often."

I don't think that other people are dumb. I am just aware that I am in the top 2% of intelligence according to every bleepin' IQ test I've taken since I was 5 years old. My problem is that I forget that this means 98% of people will not catch on to things, learn, or spot patterns as quickly as I do, and I become impatient with them. The fault is all mine.

Sometimes I do think to myself, "What a dumbass." Thing is, someone can be a bit of a dimwit, but if they're nice, it doesn't bother me. Someone can be a bit of an arrogant jerkwad, but if they're smart, that doesn't bother me, either. It's when people are dimwitted and arrogant that they irritate me.
