Yes, honestly, moving to DC doesn't faze me one bit (obviously a little bit nervous, but it's manageable now). I know a lot of people down there, and I drive down there a lot just for the day (my car practically knows its way up and down I-95). I've taken the bus and Amtrak before, so getting back shouldn't be a problem.
I'm actually really excited about the move now. I'm going down to look at apartments.

Reading comprehension would tell you that the thread was initially centered around moving to North Carolina. Even if I was freaking out about moving to DC, everyone has different thresholds.
