Some of the treadmills at my gym give you the option of either emailing the workout to yourself or posting it to Facebook. I haven’t done either though. I keep track of workouts by writing them down on my calendar at home.

For people who keep track online it’s probably best for a gym to have an option to upload it to Facebook since so many people are on it. There are so many web sites that people use to track their workouts, but Facebook probably covers the most people.

Here’s something that’s a little more unusual. If you do your taxes on Turbo Tax you can post to Facebook from the Turbo Tax site. It won’t show the amount of your refund or the amount you owe - it’ll just say that you did your taxes.

I hate all that using-consumers-for-free-advertising crap.

Every time I buy anything online, I get that stupid option to post it to facebook, as if other people would care what I just bought, and as if I even want people knowing everything I buy.
But evidently people do it, because in my facebook newsfeed I get those stupid notices that this friend "likes' this store, and that friend just bought this item on amazon.
Would anyone ever see that so-and-so just did her taxes with Turbotax and decide based on that to use Turbotax themselves?
