I get to speak with plenty of folks, I really enjoy talking about pretty much any topic, since there's always something I can learn from others. Something I've noticed is that people whom speak about sex the more often, are those who don't have any other type of -interesting- conversation. The less interesting of them always resort to sex as a topic when they fail to engage in real/fulfilling conversations.

Am I the only one who has this views?

"Those whose only conversation topic is sex "
I have never come across anyone like that... odd (to me) that you have known several!

I find those who speak frequently of sex are those who aren't having it.

Never came across that in an extreme case like you state.

But I noticed that people who talk much about sex are the ones who aren't having much by choice in a relationship or by being single.

I have a friend like that. I don't mind to a degree, but he often overdoes it. And when he does, I state emphatically at a volume that can be heard at the next table, "I think you'd better save that for your Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting." And that shuts him up. He is not a member of a 12-step program for sex addicts.

Maybe he should be. Not my call.

Lol that's my answer when they ask me why I don't talk about sex. Just for the record I ain't no prude, but there are so many topics that I rather discuss about. Usually people that are monotopic -yes I just made up a word- make me yawn.

Again, I talk to lots of people. Some are really good conversationists, others are just ok but at least they aren't stuck on one topic. But there are those few that cannot help themselves.
