Life has a way of circling around again, so every so often let your cousins know your still around, don't cut them off. You may get close to them at another time in your/their life. Just realize that people have so much going on in their lives at different times that it's difficult to keep in touch with everyone as much as we wish we could. There just isn't enough of us to go around in so little time. Realize they may want to, but just can't right now. They may have more time in their lives at another point in their life. Never cut anyone off, just keep em on your xmas card list or something...I agree with Dennis too. I wouldn't think of them like they are selfish, as that will just hurt you. I actually feel guilty for not being able to keep in touch with some of my friends as much as I want to! I don't think that's all that selfish of me though, because I do the best I can with the little free time I have that I have to share with my children, my husband... Good luck to you!

Moved from a big city to small town to be near my family and the same thing happened to me. And I've been listening to them whine for years about how fake and selfish THEY think people from the city are! Never met so many people with their heads that far up their azz. Moving back to where I can from, soon as I get a chance. At least I'm USED to the way those people act, and I don't have that "But They're My Family" expectation to be crushed.
