Yeah, you'd like to think it'd be a bit of a red flag when he has a whole condo setup with the OP expressly for this purpose. Sheesh. You'd think the girls would be offended at being part of such an assembly line setup.
Maybe he pretends to be single and there's some song-and-dance about how this is his roommate or he's staying here while his place is being renovated.
