What I think is that you're regarding it as black or white. Life isn't just two opposite poles of fight vs. echo chamber. And the point of interaction isn't "calling people out on their BS." So, sorry, but you sound like a hostile, overly aggressive, disagreeable person. I also get the feeling that you are one of those people who refuses to be proved wrong.
To illustrate a middle ground, I enjoy people who have the same starting point as I do, but whose opinions, knowledge, and experience doesn't match mine. We don't fight, I don't look to pounce on "BS," but we compare opinions, maybe we argue, maybe I learn something. I'm also happy to talk to people with very different points of view. I don't attack in your hostile way of "tearing apart," but I try politely to point out their errors and persuade them to my way of thinking.
