I kiss my Labrador Retriever on top of her head. It's no big deal to kiss a pet, even if it's a roommate's. Unless you French kissed the cat or kissed it in some inappropriate way. Then I would be embarrassed.

You shouldn't have done it in the first place, then you wouldn't end up here asking for help.

it was obviously inappropriate if you’re posting it here. I love giving pets kisses, they enjoy the attention and affection

Next time, kiss a dog. I think that might be more socially acceptable.

Ok I just got a visual of someone kissing a cat on the mouth. Now I have that image seared into my brain. What I’m trying to wrap my head around is A) what would possess them to do that, and B) how did they get past the ick factor??? A cat’s mouth eats cat food. The smell alone could gag a maggot! :::shudder:::

Ask the moderator to move this thread to the Cats subforum of Pets. Don't worry: you'll be welcome and will suffer no ridicule.

I am almost afraid to ask for specific information about why this would be embarrassing.
