I am probably moving to NC and am comparing suburb areas of Charlotte and Raleigh. I remember when I visited both Huntersville and Cary were areas I liked. I am looking for a nice suburb and I was wondering if people had experience with both areas which they liked better? Also it seems from what I compare on weather the climate is the same? Is one more humid though then the other cause temps dont tell the whole story.
Thank you

I have, and it's really close to a toss-up. Given some personal preferences of mine, and ruling out the fact that my job is here in the Triangle, I'd choose Huntersville by the slightest of margins.

Far as humidity or weather, there is no significant difference between the two.
Home prices on average tend to be higher in Cary and maybe taxes and traffic.
Cary is closer to the beach, Huntersville closer to the mountains also Lake Norman and Mountain Island Lake.

IMO both deserve a second visit and focus more on pretending your living in either city with doing things you would do as a resident vs doing things vacationing.

I think Cary and Huntersville are maybe less different than Raleigh and Charlotte. If you can't decide between the two smaller cities, maybe try deciding between the two larger cities — which would you like to be closer to?

If you like the mountains Huntersville, the coast, Cary. I prefer Huntersville, it seems more "real" than Cary, but Cary has better Indian food.
