Last time I was in Fayetteville on business I stayed at a Fairfield Inn by a mall. It was ok for business travel, but does anyone have any other recommendations?

Fayetteville's definitely not a hot spot for hotels!
The one you stayed at near the mall might be your best bet.....Don't stay anywhere but Sycamore Dairy road and Skibo road, or the Fairfield Inn at Cross Creek Mall.....There's a Residence Inn and a Courtyard and a Wingate in those areas. Haven't stayed at any of them (we stayed off I 95 at a Motel when looking for houses there, not bad but not "nice" either). Come to think of it, there are a bunch of hotels in that area, on Cedar Creek road, some are nice, but you're pretty far from just about everything but I95 over there.

Thanks for the info! I believe the Fairfield I stayed at was the one you advised me to stay away from! I'll stay at Courtyrad next time. I did not like that Fairfield because it was outdoor entrance. I hate that, I do not feel secure. Yet I stay at a Fairfield in Raleigh and it's pretty nice. You just never know. So thanks for the input!
