ok im new to the forum , but ive found that this site has a lot of good info on it. background on myself I am 23 I was raised and still live in Harford county md. this state has some things I like such as the bay and the beach but it has a lot that I don't , like rude people , liberals, gun control , taxes, and oh yea did I say liberals? here I am an automotive collision paint repair tech ive always visited nc and loved its beauty and layed back living along with nice people but my question is where are some suggestions to look at moving? I like the beach and the mountains so somewhere in the middle may be better? I want to live somewhere where I can feel like im in the boonies with no more than 45-1hr commute to civilization where I can work. my girlfriend will also be moving and she works at a hospital at the time in the radiology dept, I would like to look for the next 2-3 years so when im ready to buy a home I know a roundabout place to look. thanks!

josh

Salisbury,Rowan County. East or west of Salisbury there are plenty of unincorporated townships, can be rural yet close to Charlotte,Winston and Greensboro (within an Hour ride). Salisbury and Lexington each have good hospitals for the girlfriend.
