I am from Iowa and am thinking of relocating to North Carolina in a few years. I am married and have a 1 yr old. I am just wondering what the best suburbs are. I would like to be approximately an hour from the beach and the mountains if possible. Is there a lot to do in the bigger cities as well?

You can't be an hour from both the beach and the mountains in NC. Try Virginia.

Yeah, the mountains and beach are about 6 hours apart. How much do you know about NC??

You might look into California, where you can have mountains and beach in the same town!
