Cary is starting to look like Violet Beauregard turning into a blueberry in "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory".

Really great info. It looks like Concord will become the 2nd city of the Metrolina region. Impressive growth! It's good to see growth in the state. I wonder how the growth is for the towns less than 50k.

All the data was pulled from: City & Towns Totals: Vintage 2013 - U.S Census Bureau

To see the population of towns <50k, click "Incorporated Places: 2010 to 2013" and follow the directions.

Cary could be over 200K in 8 years at its current growth rate. And I suppose it'd still call itself the "town" of Cary.

It's still pretty amazing that Charlotte is only 200k away from having 1 million people. We'll probably be the 12th city in America to cross the million mark (outpacing Columbus, San Francisco, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville).

Aye. I didn't even know San Fran was still below 1 mil. Def thought it had at least 1 million. Would be interesting if CLT passed SF.
