I did not renew my inspection when I was supposed to do so, and now I have a $250.00 fine to pay. Does anyone know if I still have to pay the fine if I have the car inspected immediately?
I have been so busy at work that I spaced it out!!
If your home county does not require emission testing, you might get the citation withdrawn if you have the vehicle inspected within 30 days according to the DMV.
I don't think there is a way to escape without paying the fine. If you still neglect to pay your inspection fine the next step is DMV will revoke your vehicle's registration and put a pick up plate order on file. Any officer running your tag will pull you over for this and take your plate off of your car resulting in more fines and hassles to get your plate back.

Been there...done that. You still have to pay the fine.
Oh, and I forgot to add, when you do get the car reinspected it, they will back-date the inspection to the month when you 'should' have gotten it done....you don't even get extra that way!
Well i guess i will pay the $250 fine because my car is about 2 months out-of -date
