Is this the same argument that didn't work against gay marriage? "If 2 men can marry, then I can marry a Donkey?"
If the government can send me to jail for killing somebody, will they send me to jail because they don't like my hair color?
If government can set speed limits, can they create limits on how much we walk?
Yeah.... Those bozo arguments aren't typically the hallmarks of intellectual reasonings.
Why are you so hostile towards woman?. I am asking why the NBA feels there is a difference between men and woman sometimes but not always? They (the NBA) are considering to punish Charlotte by taking away the All star game, where Charlotte is the city that passed an ordinance for equality but they (NBA) are not practicing the same thing.
It would help y'all debate if you actually know what Title IX before spewing information
Quote:
Title IX states that: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance
NCAA is a conference, NBA are professionals, neither receive federal funds nor education programs so they dont fall under the executive order of Title IX
All the other stuff, army, marriage .... are just off topic

If you are interested in why people are talking about it:
LOL! I was wondering what Title IX had to do with the Charlotte stuff?
It relates to section 1.1 G.S. 115C-47 of the Public Privacy and Security Act, (HB2)
Quote:
To Establish Single-Sex Multiple Occupancy Bathroom and Changing
27 Facilities. – Local boards of education shall establish single-sex multiple
28 occupancy bathroom and changing facilities as provided in G.S. 115C-521.2."
Good read, basically from what I interpret is McCrory is following other states and since judges of two different parts had two judges of different parties, he iding witb Virginia case which is under appeal.
Maybe the General Assembly got out the old abacus and somehow measured that the Title IX wasn't that much to lose
Clear message they are sending to the rest of the country that if public education requires NC schools to treat all people equally and adhere to those pesky Federal Laws, they will have none of that

Regardless of what the governor says, NC is currently under Title IX's laws which have been stated by the U.S. Department of Education, "makes clear that transgender students are protected from discrimination under Title IX."
In fact the Department of Education won a settlement from an Illinois school district last year for this very same thing, so state senator and attorney general candidate Buck Newton’s crackerjack legal analysis (on the governor's website) is worthless.
