10 $10 seats on every flight - even cross country!
Booked my sis on one of the first flight's into Greensboro (GSO) from New England on the $10 each way special. Total was $31.00 round trip. She was slightly apprehensive - was more used to the $350 round trip into RDU and she wondered (out loud and repeatedly) what type of puddle-jumper was I putting her onto.
Her flight was slightly delayed (25 minutes), met her at baggage, walked her the 200 feet to one of the many available 25 cent parking spaces where I had been able to park the car, and we drove off. None of the hassle of RDU and such airports of "keep moving" by security and making you continue to circle the airport loops.
Her comment was: "Good flight."
Her return flight was on-time and a non-event. She called to say it had been "great" and she and her husband were booking some more flights for the future.
Their web-site Skybus (http://www.skybus.com - broken link) makes it very easy to find the lowest fare options and travel requirements. Even short advance-purchase flights can be found for $35 to $50 each way.
Part of their price advantage comes from the airports they fly between. As an example: When it says Hartford, it is actually the Chicopee, MA AFB instead of Hartford's Bradley International. Flights to Daytona/Orlando/Jacksonville actually use the St. Augustine airport.
The other factor is that you buy a seat on a specific flight, not a ticket for a through flight with stops or connections. What this could mean is that if you were to try to make a multi-stop flight, say using the Columbus OH or GSO hubs for your connection, you would actually be buying two separate tickets - one for each leg - so higher costs, but still possibly as low as $20 each way plus taxes/fees.
Their web-site recommends against trying to make your own "connecting flight schedule." A consequence of if you did try to do so, could come the possibility of your first flight leg being delayed and therefore you miss your paid seat on the "connection" leg. Then, you would most likely be stuck at the hub waiting for the next flight. With Skybus's present, but growing schedule, your wait for the next flight might mean waiting for the next day. It is probable that you would also have to pay a fee to "change" the reservation from the flight you did not make.
Overall, if you have the flexibility to fly between their service airports and with the flight times, it can be an unbeatable price.
You have to play with their site For instance Greensboro has certain destinations but if you use of the destination in the fly from you open up to different destinations.
We flew last weekend from Greensboro to Fort lauderale.
It was great. We loved flying out of Greensboro instead of Charlotte.
We will use them again.

Thanks for the reviews. I was planning a trip from Greensboro to Ft. Myers and was a little iffy about using them [this will by my husband's first time flying, and I want things to go well], but I think I'll go ahead and book with them now.
