Hopefully, only until the next Census and redistricting.

If I were Cooper I would schedule a meeting with the two heads of the GA and politely ask them to not go forward with these bills and if they refused, I would simply tell them that no bill that reaches my desk will get approval until these laws are repealed and the first day in office I will give a interview to the N&O and tell them the whole story and blame Republicans for handicapping the state's ability to compete with other states.

A 3lb hammer wrapped in velvet is the only answer.

Between these shenanigans, and the guy that went to "self - investigate" the pizza place, not a great December for North Carolina!

If Cooper did that, Berger and Moore would simply laugh at him. I seriously doubt that the General Assembly is willing to work with Cooper. The guy hasn't even took office yet and they're already trying to screw him.

cant wait for cooper's waterworks.

I dont really feel this is right but have we really forgotten all the drama cooper spun up about doing his job as AG over the past 4 years? Refusing to do his job, forcing the state to hire outside counsel etc etc

I don't really feel this is right but I cant say its suprising the NCGA is aiming to take out cooper's kneecaps.

You don't know much about NC politics. The republicans have a veto proof majority in the General Assembly. Berger and Moore couldn't care less what Cooper wants. They didn't care what McCrory wanted, and he's a republican. And they care even less about whats printed in the N&O. They have safe, local seats.

These people are despicable lowlifes. All of them. Praising / defending them, or worse rooting for them like they play on your favorite sports team is a travesty. Wait, or even worse worse defending what they do because the other team did it in the past or the other team "deserves it" is a travesty of epic proportions. When does it end?

They don't care about us, their constituents, they only care about themselves and the gravy train of special interests. You think all these career politicians in "safe, local seats" are amassing personal wealth by looking out for us? What are you people smoking?!

We need to scrap the whole thing and start over.

I'm not even mad at the Republicans. Maybe one day the Dems will grow a pair.
