I am looking at relocating in the next month or so, I may be working at the Pembroke, VA clinic and looking for a nice place to live that is not too far from my employer and the nearest major city. Fayetteville seems to be the closest but I would like a commute of fewer than 49 minutes, from each location (home and work), any suggestions? I have been reviewing the town of Hope Mills between the two, which seems to be the most reasonable distance. I do also have a luxury/upscale living preference and am single.

Fayetteville is not a very desirable place to live. You might want to visit it before agreeing to move there.
There isn't really anywhere desirable to live with 49 minutes (!) of Pembroke. If you can stretch that to about an hour the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area is fairly nice, but may be too small/quiet for a single person.
I’m inclined to agree with BC1960 and BoBromhal. One of my cousins and his wife live in Clarkton in Bladen County and work in Fayetteville. I don’t hear many good things from them about it.

Long story, but to make it short, it was his wife that dragged him there. They were living in Maysville until early 2017 since he used to be stationed at Camp Lejeune during his time in the Marines. She wanted to live somewhere more remote. He didn’t. They argued. She won.
If you're in the medical field I'd consider stretching it to Southern Pines/Pinehurst. They have some really good healthcare facilities there (better than Fayetteville IMO) and if there's a possibility of switching jobs somewhere down the line you'd be in a good position there. Pinehurst is upscale.

Lol somewhere more remote Hahahahaha.... We drove through their on Memorial Day weekend going to Oak Island/Southport area and you are not playing about it being remote. My wife kept saying how she would love to live out there but in an emergency you would be dead before you got somewhere for treatment. Of course my wife is always like that and only looking at the downside of places.
