I have a piggyback off the OP's question. Browsing through the pictures on the Facebook page (which were certainly interesting), I didn't see any Ukrainian food though. If anyone knows of somewhere in NC that has this, or what would be good to try, that would be great.

There are must certainly be a Russian/Ukrainian store where they could have cafe's/restaurant adjacent to the store. Generally they serve Slavic food. But I am not local I can't recommend any place. Ukrainian churches sometimes have potlucks too.

I'll be on the lookout. I think there may be something like this in Charlotte and/or Raleigh but I haven't been to one (on my "to do list" but I haven't taken the opportunity yet). That wouldn't be something you'd be able to find widely available throughout North Carolina though, so I do know that. Your question made me curious about trying this. My only experience with food from that part of the world is Borscht, which I thought was incredible!
When I was googling to find that I found a store in Raleigh that serves Eastern European food and is run by two Ukrainian sisters so I'd guess they have a handle on Ukrainian food.
The Ukrainian community here is not too large but its very active, and they bring family activities, movies, musical concerts, celebrations. There are a few Facebook groups, https://www.facebook.com/groups/937155979649761/
Some information you can find in the store (Golden Hex 1246 NW Maynard Rd, Cary) as they leave flyers and posters for the upcoming events in Ukrainian community. Owners also speak some Ukrainian (two brothers), their family roots are partially from Lviv/Ternopol area. Hope this helps!
