I love to see the Moravian stars Hanging on porches in Winston-Salem
And Triad. However, I can’t figure out how to best hang them. I don’t have outdoor outlets and don’t want to have unsightly extension cords hanging on the front porch. Any ideas?

I think most people wire them into their porch ceiling light junction box.

I think my mom had a plug that screwed into her front porch (overhead) light. It hung on a very short cord. Good luck.

Something like this:https://www.lowes.com/pd/Project-Sou...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

You might consider also asking on the Lehigh Valley board for Pennsylvania. That board includes Bethlehem, and the Moravians came to North Carolina from Bethlehem. Just a thought. . .

I just plug mine into my outdoor outlet. We use those things all the time. You might want to invest in some.

How about a Czech forum? Honestly, you do not need to be full blooded Moravian to know how to hang a star. Probably need to know a simple electric safety though, just sayin'

There were two places that the Moravians settled in colonial America. It wouldn't hurt to ask the other location. I didn't make the suggestion with malicious intent. Old Salem and Bethlehem both celebrate their Moravian roots. Did you know that?

I didn't suggest the Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, or Philadelphia boards. I suggested the board that includes Bethlehem. Who knows, they might come up with a suggestion that no one here would think of, or not. It wouldn't hurt anything.

I said nothing about being a full-blooded Moravian. I suspect that you're looking to start something, so have at it, but don't expect participation from me.
