I have been looking for houses and some are in HOA's and have the dues listed. Are these monthly or yearly? Some say up to $400. Would that be montly?? What are the average dues??

Thanks!!

I inquired about that very same thing with a realtor when we first started searching online. she told me that those are the yearly dues. She could be wrong and so could I but that is what I was told. To me $400 seems really high for a monthly due. even out here in CA in a private gated community with a ,pool , club house, parks and many more amenities we don't pay that much.

Those are yearly dues. I think the only exception to that would be if you were to live in one of those gated, rich communities. But other than that, they are yearly.

Yes they are yearly dues. If they are monthly they will say monthly.

Sounds yearly to me. Some neighborhoods are less expensive and have a separate fee if you want to join the pool. This made sense to me, only those that are going to use the pool had to pay for it and it makes the overall dues much cheaper.

I know our dues also cover our trash pick up which is nice.
