How is the drive from Virginia down 81 South to 26 East into the Hendersonville North Carolina area towing a trailer? Is it super mountainous/narrow, etc?

I know the section of I-81 through Virginia is hilly but straight. It has separate slow climbing lanes. I think the question about 26 would be better to ask in the Western NC sub-forum.

As you get past Erwin closer to Asheville, it is mountainous, but there shouldn’t be a problem towing a trailer. I26 is a 4 lane interstate. It is a really pretty drive.

You shouldn't have any problems at all with the roads pulling a camper. Plenty wide, not too steep. Lots of truck traffic on I81, as I'm sure you know.
