Our home if in Cary, is approx. 350-400K. Our home in NJ is 930K! It is sick!!! Utility bills (gas+elect) 500 month!! And that is holding back!! We want to make the right move, schools are #1 priority, crime etc. Is cary the place, or should we look elsewhere? We do not want to spend more then 350-400k for a home. Kids are very active in sports as well. If anyone can give us some advise, we would apreciate it. Also 2.5 feet of snow last week isn't helping!!!

I just returned from Cary. I had dinner with an potential employer who lives in Cary for the past 20 years. I am also looking at houses there. For 400,000 you can have 3000+ SF, new or even new const, your preference. Taxes are vey low. Cary is where "yankees" in NC can do well. I was told by my recruiter that he would prefer me to be iN Cary because "No one in Cary is from North Carolina, they would never know you werent from NC unless you told them"
