How do cars do on the roads in the winter months in bismarck? How do diesels do in terms of starting in the winter? Even with a block heater I don't think I would be able to plug it in renting an apartment.

Apts often do have dedicated plug ins up here, outside in front of your parking space. I would ask your mgt.

I drive a 3/4 Ton Chevy Duramax. NEVER plug it in. Sits outside, you burn #1 in the winter and it is thinner, and keeps it from gelling.

Cars are fine getting around. Only problem is during major storms. But where you going to go when everything is closed?

Default car maintenance

change your oil to synthetic for winter/ change antifreeze 50/50/when it snows lower tire pressure to 25 psi/clean battery posts and wrap batter with insulation/ replace if already weak/ this should do it for winter
