Key Energy is here in Minot. I know several employees from Key Energy. They live in Minot and drive to wherever their job takes them. Key Energy tends to lose employees to other oil companies once they are trained and have all of their licenses. Best of Luck.

ladihawkae... just read the Williams county minutes (Williston)...Key Energy was approved for a new facility west of Williston...the site will be a 20 acre site. So they apparantly are expanding with a new facility. Brigham Oil was also approved for a 160 acre site in the same area for their new yards/shops/offices. Must be a new area they are developing for some of the oil companies. With Key Energy building and expanding, they are probably hiring...maybe this is where your husband will be working?

Williams County - Meeting Minutes

"approval of the zone change from Ag to Industrial for the future home of Key Energy for an additional 20Acres only located in E1/2NWNE Section 24 T154 R102 Judson Township. Motion carried."

There are several Key Energy people that live in Minot and drive to where they may work. Minot is starting to be the hub as they start drilling in Glenburn, Bottineau, and Souris.

magiccity...I'm not dissing Minot, nor am I trying to pit Minot vs Williston vs Sidney vs Dickinson, etc... but Minot has a very long ways to go to even catch up to even Stanley as an oil town hub. Williston would probably be considered the hub for this region, as it has nearly 300 oil service companies located there and it continues to grow. Minot will get a few, but Minot will not become THE HUB...but maybe someday a small hub for the oil industry in the Minot area. Didn't Minot's mayor already try to hijack "oil capital of ND" from Tioga? Tioga said NO WAY and trademarked the name for themselves so Minot couldn't take it away from them. The majority of Minot's growth the past couple of years has been due to the Air Force base expansion. Not so much Oil, as some are claiming. Again, sorry...not trying to be a jerk, just trying to be real. All I'm saying is a quick drive over to Williston, and you would see what I am talking about.

People who want to check out where the current oil activity in North Dakota can just go to this site, via the State of North Dakota. It gives you information of what drilling rigs are drilling in which county, and you can also see what permits have been submitted for drilling in a particular location and county. There is also a button that shows the upcoming hearings for potential spacings and drilling for parcels in various counties and townships.
