Hi there
I am in lake Ariel for the weekend and my dog had a seizure this morning. Does anyone know of a good vet I can bring her to.

thanks. It was scary as she went for me when I went to pet her. Then we were trapped in the bedroom for about 30 mins while she stopped barking at us.

She had a second one just a while ago so i am taking her to Cherry Ridge ; our neighbour goes there and I did call Carbondale who told me to take her to an emergency place.

She has an appt at 2. She is a sweet brindle pup about 2 years old. She was a rescue and is normally a sweet sweet dog.

Hey there, I'm sorry to hear about your pup. I grew up with a dog that had epilepsy...it can be a very scary thing. When they're coming out of seizures, they're not totally "with it" for a while so you shouldn't attempt to pet them until they are completely out of that state. Our dog's epilepsy was controlled (for the most part) with meds. Best wishes that everything's ok...

Dorothy, my next-door neighbor's dog is a lab with seizure disorder. He gets 1/2 a phenobarbitol tab twice a day and is well-controlled.

I hope your doggie is as easily treated.

I took her to the vet and he took blood. She was so good and behaved in the office. Normally she is great in the car coming and going but today she was very restless. He said that she looked very healthy, ears were good, eyes were bloodshot, teeth were healthy.
Just waiting for the results of the bloods. She isnt herself today so I am hoping that after a good nights sleep she will be ok.
She really is a sweetheart ; is very social, great with the boys and loves to be with us.
