The Himalayan Institute Main Street will be closing at the end of the month. Pretty sad being they own the building ..

Another sign of the times

Riverside - I can't PM you - you are locked tight.

I am planning on icefishing White Deer next week - Wed or Thur.
You said you want to give it a try.

I have enough gear in my vehicle for 2 people - even have an extra pair of shoe spikes.

Do you live near there, and do you want to give it a try?

Honesdale, like Tunkhannock and Towanda, has a small contingent of new age-y folks and yuppies (for lack of better term) in addition to the regular people you might expect in that town. Holistic shops cater to their needs.

Apparently not enough, though, if the store is closing.

MatildaLoo, I realize there are some pockets of ppl that will support "alternative" places, I am sure of it. But the fact that someone thought it would work as a profitable business in Honesdale just smacks of lack of marketing research or distorted perception of reality.

In that vein, I would also say such a place would fail in Towanda or Tunkhannock.
