Is there any good IMAX or simply good 3D theater in the Pocono area?

So far I have only found something in that mall along Rt 611 and it was closed down (and disgusting)...

Can anyone help please?

Poconogirl.

As far as I know the only theater in NEPA to offer IMAX is the new one in Dickson City, and even then I believe they only have ONE screen being IMAX. I believe Cinemark in Moosic shows 3-D movies. The one in Downtown Wilkes-Barre might too.

poconogirl, RestonRunner86,

My wife and I went up to see Avatar at the Cinemark in Moosic. I believe that they had three 3D movies playing at that time. That theater is very large.

I thought that there was an old discussion of one of our (Monroe County) theaters installing an IMAX screen? Possibly in Marshalls Creek area?

Cinemark, in addition to multiple regular 3-D movies, also has XD, which is supposed to be similar to IMAX.

Is that to far for you to travel?
It was so cool, and they showed previews of the new 'Pirates of the Carribean' in IMAX due out in August,,,or in the Hinterlands of Nepa , maybe August 2015... just kidding.
